Historical Interests, Anyone?
We all know that Micco has a fascinating history, but what are we doing about it? Are we going to suffer the fate of so many localities that have an historic presence, but let it slide until it is lost forever? Almost all of us can recite that Micco was established in 1875, but how many are aware that the area history actually goes back to the early 1700's?
If there is interest out there in the form of discussions, interview possibilities, old photos (we can make copies and return originals to the owners), why not explore the possibilities. There are other groups here in Brevard and Indian River County that willl be happy to assist us if asked. Perhapsthis could be tied into some genealogic projects.
If there is any interest from our Forum members, or perhaps even your friends or relatives that have a Micco connection, please contact me here, by phone, or mail and we'll see what we can do.
